It all began in the early 1980s when the Tammeling family bought their first car: a green 1974 Saab 96 V4. Bought against all advice in the dark, it turned out to be an exceptional vehicle that clocked over 300,000 km before returning to us years later. Today, with over 800,000 km on the clock, it remains a reliable daily driver and the spark that ignited our lifelong passion.

Over the decades, that single Saab grew into an extensive project of acquiring, restoring, and preserving classic models. What started as hands-on restoration work in the workshop led to regular trips to Sweden for rare parts and, in 2009, the relocation of our collection to Dalfsen. There, an old barn was renovated into a dedicated museum housing rare Saabs, a comprehensive parts storage, and restoration projects.

Today, Museum Takt2Aero welcomes enthusiasts from across the Netherlands and abroad. Whether for museum visits or restoration advice, our mission remains simple: to keep the spirit, engineering, and memory of the Saab brand alive.
